Enjoy a family festival in historic Rushworth Saturday 19th of April & Sunday 20th April at Moora Recreation Reserve. The National Trust heritage streetscape provides the backdrop for the festival which includes a market stalls, art exhibition, children’s entertainment and a traditional wood raffle. Saturday has a massive street parade through the centre of town with a crowd favourite the Clydesdale Draught Horses appearing. Features of the festival include Live music from "Ballyregan", an animal farm, live entertainment, Easter egg hunt and plenty more activities of the kids. Rushworth’s local tourist attractions and shops are open, so the streets are lined with bargains. The Easter Saturday market stall and wood auction are a bargain hunters delight. Easter Sunday at Moora Rec Reserve (7km west of Rushworth) allows interaction with Draught Horses. Kid (big and small) can enjoy Old fashion Children’s games, watch the Draught Horses at work, Wagon and stage coach rides, "Tug of War" between Draught Horse and Children and Bush Dances, Catering is available all day. This is your chance to get up close with the Gentle Giants (draught horses).
